Don’t you just love when the kiddos just hang around the tree!! No better feeling than seeing the sparkle in there eyes... Bribgs me back to when I was a little girl , every Christmas you would find me hanging around the tree!!!

Seriously just wanna cry right now!! While everyone on here seems to have a handle on their Christmas decor and let me stress they seem to have a beautiful handle on their Christmas decor , I’m going around like a headless chicken trying to figure out what to use and what not to use.. I’m known as the Christmas queen but this year I’m the christmas mess!! I can’t get it together at all!! It’s like I have a mental block all of a stupid sudden!! My problem is I think if I just relax and have a cup of tea that as I sip I’ll figure it all out!! It certainly isn’t working this year for me at all!! I’m at the stage of giving up!! What the hec!! Oh well 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
Finally started my Christmas decorations.. I’ve never put my tree or any Christmas decor up this early... Started the tree tonight which means I’m up bright and early in the morning to get it finished and get moving on all the other decor too!! I won’t be putting up two indoor trees this year!! So I’ve opted for the traditional red and gold rather than the white and rose gold that I had last year!! It was a hard choice as I love the two tees but I’m a sucker for a traditional tree!! Anyways I’ve started and I’m excited!! I just can’t believe that it’s this time of year again.. Where does time go too!!

Is anyone with me on this...I’m just about to sit and relax with my cuppa, This has been such a long and busy week for me. I’ve been decluttering my home as tomorrow it gets us appraisal/ valuation, even tho we haven’t finished all the renovations as yet! We just want to see if it’s worth while doing the extra works on this property as we are eager to move, and if it’s not worth it we will come to an end putting anymore touches to this home!! On top of this I’ve finally got all my Christmas presents bought and wrapped !!! Even the ones gone to Ireland.. I’ve been a busy bee this week and I’m over the moon with all those Christmas presents done and dusted!!! Yay!!! Well until the real estates come and go this will be my only Christmas decor for now .. Come on the weekend!!! My tree will be up soooooo excited!!! Back to my tea!!! 🤗
I made this little pumpkin out of a book about five years ago.. Pic is from last years decor .. I almost forgot about this diy until I was flicking through my photos.. It’s stuck in a box somewhere around the house or the shed!!! I might try find it!!! 🎃😊
This my display cabinet that I purchased almost a year ago...I know pumpkins are related to fall but I have these pumpkins that just stay here all year long . Some of my pumpkins I just can’t put away into storage... Anyone else like do that also?
I don’t have much fall stuff going on in my house this year due to the craziness of a constant messy house !! I kid you not I will be glad to see the back of this house once it’s finished ... I know it’s almost done and I just can’t wait to move and get all of my lovely decor out of storage but most of all looking forward to a normal life .. No hammers or drills or chop saws etc you get the picture right 🤦🏻‍♀️ Here’s a photo from last year!! Almost wants me to get my finger out and just decorate and drop everything else :)
Well the storms have hit our area it’s been raining all night with added thunder and lightening.. just when I thought it was stopped my friends and I decided to play tennis, have mentioned that I play tennis around 6 times a week umm!! Forgot to mention that to you all!! Anyways into the first game the rain poured from the heavens!! It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on here and its purely due to the crazy mission that both me and hubby are on to get this fixer upper ready for a sale!!! Because I’m in Australia and it’s now spring for us I’m not really able to decorate the house for fall because I really don’t want the our real estate agent or potential buyers to think that we are weirdos lol!!! How and ever this is probably the only fall decor that i have going on in my house this year !!! Even tho we are in spring and while most of the world is in autumn, the Irish girl in me has always decorated my home according to my roots.. All my friends over here just laugh when they walk into my home and see that I decorate for the seasons according to my homeland!! I’m gonna miss all the fall decor around my home this year but that’s life for me right now!! Here’s a little dough bowl that I purchased from a thrift store and decorated for fall which I used in my September blog challenge!! Hi friends!! Another month of thrift store finds with my blogging buddies! And as usual you find out on my blog how I refurnished it and see all the other participants items! This month I’m so in love with what they all did!! You really need to check these girls out that are amazing! —————————————- This month we could purchase the item from a thrift store , garage sale, Market place or use something we had from a previous find!! We could simply refurnish it or just style it!! My item was a Market place find for $10 swipe for the before pics. I also got four chairs with the table which I didn’t use!! Hi all!! Anyone else feel that time is going by at the speed of light? Like far out, slow down!!! Well friends , I just manage to sneak in and team up with some of my blogging buddies whom I just adore!! A big shout goes to the lovely Emily over @le.cultivateur for hosting this months clearance challenge!! Thanks Emily🤗 The rules are that it has to be a clearance item for no more than $15 and we can do what we like with it! ➰➰➰➰➰➰➰➰ As always you can jump onto my blog www.throughavintagedoor.com where I have linked all the other the other participants so you can see what they purchased and what they did with their clearance items!! ——————————————- So my item was very simple... My hubbies bedside lamp had a broken switch so he couldn’t turn it on. I set off to my hard ware store to by a switch to replace it and it was way to expensive.. On the way out I spotted a Lamp on the clearance rack, original price $62 and I got it for $10. It worked out a lot cheaper to buy the lamp than the switch. I Didn’t need another lamp and it’s not my style to have a small lamp so I was going to throw the marble base part away.. I removed the switch and its cord and then I just couldn’t justify throwing such a piece out so I used the marble base as a candle stick holder, whoooopa!!! Simple hey!! So the pic in the post is how I used the lamp {without its cord or switch of course} 😉 Somethings are just not destined for the thrash can 😊 Have a blessed day all! Well guys it’s been a while since I’ve posted.. I love butterflies! Anyone else love them? There’s something about them that I just love! Despite being so sick yesterday and dosing myself up to my eyeballs with flue meds and feeling pretty worse off today I just don’t feel much like removing my being from this bed anytime soon so no better time to flick through my phone and see what pictures should stay or go .. although im wallowing in my self sympathy This little butterfly picture manage to get a little smile from my face and today.. Butterflies are just so cute!!!🦋
I found this throw at a thrift store for a few bucks ... It’s not my usual style and when I bought it I didn’t know why I was buying it .. I think I just liked it.. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Nothing better than a thrift store find to protect your chairs when you have three little girlos with sticky fingers come stay with you for a while.. in my books that’s a score!!
My truck is having it’s service done and I’m painting some chairs that have been in storage but right now I thought I’d just grab a cup of tea and just chill and look at my new decor in my entry way , if that’s what ya would like to call it cos it’s not much of an entry way!!
